Christine Fatherree
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My practice is in Texas and New Mexico. My Master’s Degree is from the University of Texas at Austin. I have worked in the Mental Health in Austin and surrounding communities for over 20 years. This platform gives me the opportunity to connect with anyone in Texas and New Mexico wanting therapy.
I have worked in the Mental Health in Austin and surrounding communities for over 20 years.
My primary focus is life transitions and depression. I bring different techniques to address your unique experiences.
First session
During our first meeting I will talk about what to expect in therapy and answer any questions you may have. It is my intent for you to feel comfortable and know that I come to our sessions with no judgement. Because I want to get to know you, I will ask questions about you, your relationships and what brings you to therapy. We will talk about what you might want to change in your life and what is working in your life. Our sessions will be tele-video but please know that does not impact the therapy.
Strengths
I value collaboration and believe that therapy is a partnership. I come to sessions with a willingness to engage, ask questions, and reflect. Whether you are looking for short-term support or long-term growth, my goal is to help you feel empowered, heard and equipped with the tools you need to live a more fulfilling life. Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready to take an active role in their mental health and well-being. They are open to exploring their emotions, behaviors, and thought patterns in a safe, supportive environment. Whether they are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, past trauma, or life transitions, they are motivated to understand themselves better and work through the challenges they face. This client is open to trying different therapeutic techniques and is looking for a compassionate, nonjudgmental therapist to guide them through their healing journey. They may seek therapy for a variety of reasons, from managing day-to-day stressors to navigating major life changes or overcoming deep-seated emotional wounds. Regardless of the issue, they understand that growth is a process and are willing to be patient and committed to that process.
