Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session at Chroma Wellness, we’ll focus on getting to know you: your story, goals, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss what’s working, what’s challenging, and what you hope to change, while answering any questions you have. It’s a collaborative, judgment-free space where you set the pace, and together we’ll create a plan that feels supportive and achievable.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, my greatest strengths are creating a warm, affirming space where clients feel truly seen, meeting people exactly where they are, and blending evidence-based techniques with a holistic, whole-person approach. I’m skilled at helping clients untangle challenges, build practical tools, and discover their own resilience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults, young adults, and LGBTQIA+ individuals looking for a compassionate, affirming space to navigate life's changes, big and small. Whether you're managing anxiety, depression, or ADHD, healing from past trauma, working through a difficult transition, or simply feeling stuck and wanting something to shift, I'm here to walk alongside you. I work best with clients who are ready to do the work of growth, who want more than surface-level coping strategies and are open to exploring the deeper patterns behind what they're experiencing. My approach blends evidence-based therapy with mind-body wellness practices, because I believe real healing happens when we address both the mind and the body, not just one or the other.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, replacing them with more balanced and supportive ways of thinking. We pair this with practical, skills-based strategies so clients can actively change patterns in their daily lives and build lasting emotional resilience.

Joey was non-judgmental of my complex trauma, even when I couldn’t recall all past events, and created a safe space to discuss self-care. He’s also a very good listener, sensitive to issues of varying severities and open to creating a safety plan. Overall would recommend him to anyone who might feel nervous about starting therapy!
