About me

I am not only a therapist but a real person. Everyone struggles with mood and thoughts and sometimes we all need help navigating the intensity of these experiences. I hope to be a guide for you as you walk through whatever challenges are keeping you from moving forward. This process will be challenging and will take work, however if you take away one thing from reading this, it is that you are not alone and there are people out there waiting to offer help.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session I will introduce myself, go over the usual business stuff (consent, no show policy, etc.) and then I will ask what concerns brought you to grow therapy. As I listen I will prompt you for assessment specifics; ongoing medical issues, expectations about therapy (if you have any), your family and friend group, when your symptoms started and how they are impacting you. I will then tell you about myself and offer any suggestions to get you started between the first and our next session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I do not know everything and I will never tell you what to do. You are leading and I am a guide. I cannot predict the future but I can offer that when you start putting in the work there is a chance your mood will change slowly for the better. My approach is directive based. My methods are grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy. The majority of my previous clients have stated that our time working together was helpful.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My dream client is someone who shows up to sessions and is willing to talk, listen, and consider working towards the idea of responding to their thoughts and feelings rather than reacting to them.
