First session

Our first session will feel like a chat, my approach is inquisitive and inviting to develop a rapport to see if we would be a best fit for each other. We will develop trust a long the way. I will ask you about your history and upbringing, what are your currently feeling, and develop a treatment plan that suits your needs. We will discuss how often we will meet, how to reschedule and/or cancel sessions, and identify at least two goals you want to work on.

Strengths

Validation. Sometimes you sit with your friends or family or co workers and they all have an opinion on what you should be doing. With me you get validation of your experience because guess what it is TRUE TO YOU. With me you’ll get someone who will listen, inquire, and provide feedback back (sometimes with some accountability if we are not being the most truthful to ourselves).

Ideal clients

Do you feel like life is just a rinse, lather, repeat day after day? Are you stuck with struggling at work or with your relationship? Sometimes you have good days but sometimes the Sunday scarys hit you in a Tuesday? Then I might be the therapist for you. I enjoy most working with young professionals (of any background) who are experiencing depression, anxiety, imposter syndrome, and a little razzle dazzle of trauma. Sometimes life just isn’t jiving the way you need it and you need someone to help process. I’m here to validate you experience but also help you find things you already do well and managing and also developing new ways to cope.

Treatment methods

Humanistic

I meet you where you are at and encompass an array of different techniques to aid in identifying already established coping skills and creating new ones in an empathic and compassionate approach.
