About me
My journey as a therapist started when I was attending my second year of college. I had a strong desire to want to help people, families, and children. I believe in the power of encouraging people as they journey through life and help to be a guiding support. I am driven by an absolute unchanging belief that everyone is capable of changing, reaching their goals, and growing no matter what stage, they find themselves in. I believe each individual is unique, and significant, but often can get off track from their journey when the difficulties of life come and may not have someone in their life encouraging them.

When a client meets with me for the first time they can expect warmth, kindness, compassion, a nonjudgemental atmosphere, and a space to feel safe to be vulnerable. Your journey matters, and I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way. Each individual is unique, and because of this, each individual has to be approached with openness to partner with them in a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I approach goal setting by first getting to know the individuals' concerns, and needs, and through exploration determining what challenges are interfering with an individual's daily functioning. Let's work together towards a brighter, healthier future.

I would describe myself as a versatile therapist meaning I can engage, and work with young, older, and elderly clients, male, female, and race. I have worked with children, adolescents, transitional-age, adults, older adults, veterans, and detainees, of different backgrounds. As a therapist it is very important for me to create an atmosphere of safety, warmth, and authenticity. I strive to create a space where clients feel they are important, significant, valued, listened to, and have an authentic experience and are not treated like a number. I often have clients express to me after an initial session, or few that they feel safe with me.
