New to Grow
Hello! My name is Pa. I am an individual, mother, wife, daughter, and a Hmong-American woman. I became a psychotherapist because I grew up witnessing how mental health is often dismissed in diverse ethnic communities. I saw how generational trauma affects our minds, bodies, and souls. These experiences fueled my passion to become a therapist who can connect and support individuals with diverse backgrounds. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I take a client-centered approach where I tailor our sessions to address your needs and goals. I provide a safe and supportive space for you to just be yourself. Together, we will identify and set goals that address your needs and concerns. We can also adjust and change goals as needed to adapt to the evolution of your journey.
In our first session, we will explore and identify your primary concerns. I would like to learn more about your past and current experiences to ensure that I have a thorough understanding of your mental health needs. I would also like to know more about your strengths, what you enjoy, and get a better understanding of who you are.
Most of my family, friends, and peers describe me as ocean waves. Something peaceful and calm, but when the tide comes I can also be passionate, fierce, and strong. And that is how I am in therapeutic work and outside in my personal life. I help you find the flow of healing that meets your pace. I will also provide gentle or strong push as needed too. I enjoy working with the intersectionality of culture, spirituality, and mental health. I also like to keep us on track according to the goals that you have set. But the overall measure of success would be your improved quality of life.
I help clients find the flow of healing that is at the pace that meets their needs. Whether is it trauma-related concerns or acute stressors that only require short treatment. My ideal client is someone is who has a desire to work towards healing and change. An ideal client is also someone who is willing to try and is open to strengthening their resilience.

DBT techniques are composed of 4 components which are mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT strategies are used to help practice coping skills to find balance, change, and acceptance of the rollercoaster of life.
