About

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California (USC). I have a background in working with chronically ill patients in an outpatient setting often dealing with adjustment, anxiety, and depression.
I have a background in working with chronically ill patients in an outpatient setting often dealing with adjustment, anxiety, and depression.
As a therapist, I am committed to providing a safe and inclusive space where individuals from diverse backgrounds feel heard, valued, and respected. My approach is rooted in cultural competence, recognizing and honoring the unique experiences and perspectives each client brings to the therapeutic relationship.

First session

Starting from our first session, it is my intent to provide a safe space for you to share your story of the challenges that you are facing and seeking to address. I encourage you to ask questions and share your therapy needs so we can determine if I am the right therapist for you.

Strengths

I offer a comprehensive mind-body approach to mental health and well-being. By listening deeply to each person's unique narrative, I collaboratively develop tailored solutions that honor their strengths and values. I firmly believe in the inherent capacity for change within each individual and work tirelessly to cultivate an environment of trust, empathy, and growth.

Ideal clients

I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing life's road bumps. You want to feel better but struggling to figure out how to adjust and cope. My clients are motivated to learn healthy coping skills and ways to achieve lasting positive outcomes but don't yet have the right tools to navigate life's challenges.

Treatment methods

Strength-Based

I focus on the individual's inherent strengths, resources, and positive qualities rather than their weaknesses or problems. My goal is to empower individuals by helping them recognize and build upon their existing skills, resilience, and personal capabilities. This approach fosters a sense of self-efficacy and encourages individuals to tap into their strengths to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Strength-based therapy emphasizes hope, optimism, and personal growth, helping people to see themselves as capable and resourceful.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors in order to foster healthier mental and emotional responses. By focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, CBT empowers people to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues more effectively. Its practical, goal-oriented approach equips individuals with skills to cope with life’s challenges, leading to lasting personal growth and improved well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

By cultivating mindfulness, individuals learn to observe their experiences without judgment, which can be particularly helpful for managing anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. This therapeutic approach encourages acceptance and promotes a deeper sense of calm and well-being.

Jessica is extremely helpful in getting to the core issues and finding a path forward. She is great at listening, but also at guiding and strategizing and finding little ways to start to make process. I really appreciate her insights.

First time ever trying therapy and it was a mix of anxious feelings before the meeting, but it was nice and easygoing once it began which made it easy to open up. Looking forward to seeing how this experience shapes out.
