Hi, thanks for stopping by my page. I’m an LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) and have had the privilege of working with clients for the past five years. Helping people is so rewarding that I can’t imagine doing anything else. I work with children, teens, young adults, and individual adults, aiming to provide a safe, supportive environment while collaborating with my clients in their treatment. I believe in a client-centered therapy process, where we create treatment plans and goals together to meet each person’s unique needs. I offer biblical counseling for those who want a Christian perspective and bible-based counseling.
In our first meeting, we’ll take some time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions and encourage my clients to do the same. If it feels like a good fit and we’re both comfortable, we’ll dive right in and start creating a plan for the next steps toward a happier life.
I’ve been told my strengths include being a good listener, offering support, and helping to create solutions that best benefit the client. You can check out my website at www.buildinghopefaiththerapy.com or search online to read my client reviews. "She listens with such compassion, carries such a genuine kindness, and really understands what my family is walking through". Nichole R.

Whether you are looking to reach specific goals or need tools to navigate the complexities of life, I am her to listen and support you. I believe in the power of connection and understand during difficult times, and I aim to provide a safe, positive environment where you can heal, thrive and grow.

Per my clients request I have used biblical counseling to help them with a closer walk with God. To help them to understand the bible and to be able to apply it to their everyday lives.
Cognitive Behavioral therapy is used to help those struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, anger, panic attacks and addictions. We work as a team to create coping skills and attainable goals that make a positive treatment plan. My goal is to create a client centered therapeutic process to support your success.
I have found using sand play therapy for children is very beneficial to their learning about their emotions and how to recognize them.

I was actually, orginally hoping to learn some Mindfulness techniques of some sort when I initially started looking into therapy again. I learned some valuable skills from it, years ago from a different therapist, and I had forgotten how helpful it can be, until today's first visit with Cindy Claflin, where she first brilliantly utilized "Effective Listening" then, right away, started teaching me some applicable, Mindulfness exercises, what I had been missing from other therapists, for years! 🙂

Professionally, Cindy was able to keep up with my train of thoughts, knew exactly what I was talking about regarding my Christian faith which is very important to me! Was able to identify my concerns immediately, while simultaneously engaging in solution focused therapy. Personally, Cindy was warm, she laughed a lot (with me) , I definitely felt heard, seen, & encouraged🤍✨.
