Ever feel like no one really listens to you or, honestly, just doesn’t get you, especially your parents? Not to worry, that’s where I come in. I enjoy working with young people and help them understand their emotions or how to get along with their parents, teachers and/or friends. Sometimes it can be difficult to express our emotions, talk to people or just navigate this hectic young life. I've been working with young people and helping them find their way for many, many years. It might take a few sessions to get comfortable and figure things out, and that’s completely okay. We’ll take it one step at a time and work through it together. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. Let’s work together!
First session
My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, talk openly, and know that you’re being heard. Whatever you’re dealing with-stress, anxiety, sadness, depression, friendships, family stuff, or just feeling like things are a lot right now-we can work through it together. I’m here to be in your corner and help you figure things out without judgment. We’ll use different tools and activities along the way, like worksheets, videos, games, and conversations, to find what works best for you. There’s no “right” way to feel or a one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll go at your pace and focus on helping you feel more confident, understood, and in control of your journey.
Strengths
My job is to help you build the skills you need to handle the tough stuff life can throw your way. Whether you’re dealing with sadness, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, or just feeling stuck, we’ll work together to figure out what’s going on and what can help. We’ll focus on finding positive ways to cope, manage emotions, make choices, and handle difficult situations. My goal isn’t to tell you what you should do-it’s to help you discover what works for you and feel more confident in handling whatever comes your way. Life can feel chaotic, especially when you’re growing, changing, and trying to figure things out. You don’t have to navigate it all by yourself!
Ideal clients
I work best with clients ages 10 - 17 year old who have difficulties with expressing their emotions and having trouble with self-esteem and confidence. Any severity of behavior difficulties is also acceptable. I accept any child or teen from any social economic background. I can speak Spanish with parents; however, Spanish therapy with the child is possible but not preferred.
