I am a Certified EMDR therapist and PMH-C clinician providing specialized trauma therapy in Arizona for first responders and individuals navigating perinatal mental health challenges. I help clients who appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck beneath the surface. My work focuses on treating PTSD, birth trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, religious trauma, and chronic stress using EMDR therapy and evidence-based, trauma-informed care. I understand how trauma and nervous system dysregulation can keep you feeling constantly on edge, emotionally reactive, or disconnected from yourself. Through EMDR therapy in Arizona and Washington, I help clients reduce triggers, process unresolved trauma, regulate their nervous system, and experience deep, lasting healing—so you can feel stable, confident, and like yourself again.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first therapy session is designed to help you feel safe, informed, and understood. Whether you’re seeking EMDR therapy in Arizona and Washington for PTSD, birth trauma, postpartum depression, or chronic stress, we begin by exploring what’s bringing you in and what you hope to change. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your history, current symptoms, and goals so I can create a personalized trauma treatment plan. If EMDR therapy is appropriate, I’ll explain the process clearly and answer any questions you may have. We do not begin trauma reprocessing immediately. Instead, we focus first on stabilization, nervous system regulation, and building emotional safety—especially important for first responders and individuals navigating perinatal mental health challenges. By the end of the session, you’ll have clarity about next steps and a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. Healing from trauma, PTSD, or postpartum mental health struggles is possible—and you don’t have to do it alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is providing specialized, evidence-based trauma therapy in Arizona and Washington for first responders and individuals navigating perinatal mental health challenges. As a Certified EMDR therapist and PMH-C clinician, I bring advanced training in treating PTSD, birth trauma, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, religious trauma, and chronic stress. I understand how trauma impacts the nervous system—whether from cumulative exposure in first responder work, a traumatic birth experience, or the invisible weight of chronic anxiety. My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Using EMDR therapy, nervous system regulation strategies, and trauma-informed care, I help clients reduce triggers, process distressing memories, and create lasting emotional relief. What makes my work unique is the balance of clinical expertise and emotional safety. Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood, respected, and supported—especially those who are used to being the “strong one.” I provide structured, effective trauma treatment while honoring your pace, readiness, and resilience. If you are seeking EMDR therapy in Arizona and Washington for PTSD, postpartum mental health, or first responder trauma, my goal is to help you move from survival mode to stability, confidence, and lasting healing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults in Arizona and Washington who are struggling with the effects of trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, or major life transitions. Many appear capable and responsible in their daily lives, yet internally feel overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they have not been able to resolve on their own. I work with individuals experiencing symptoms of PTSD, intrusive memories, hypervigilance, sleep disruption, burnout, irritability, anxiety, or emotional numbness. Some clients are processing single-incident trauma, while others are navigating cumulative stress from demanding careers, caregiving roles, or relationship strain. I have particular experience supporting first responders who are regularly exposed to crisis and high-stress environments. Over time, this work can lead to compassion fatigue, nervous system dysregulation, and difficulty transitioning out of “survival mode.” Therapy offers a confidential space to process those experiences without judgment. As a clinician certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C), I also work with new and expecting parents facing postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, birth trauma, fertility challenges, and identity shifts during pregnancy and early parenthood. These transitions can feel isolating, and specialized support can make a meaningful difference. Many of my clients have participated in therapy before and are ready for deeper healing. While I specialize in EMDR therapy for trauma and PTSD, I integrate multiple evidence-based approaches—including CBT and trauma-informed care—to tailor treatment to each person’s needs. Together, we determine the pace and modality that feels safe, effective, and aligned with your goals. If you are seeking trauma therapy, PTSD treatment, postpartum mental health support, or anxiety therapy in Arizona or Washington, and you are motivated for meaningful, lasting change, we are likely a strong fit.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have advanced training in using EMDR to treat trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences. In my practice, I integrate EMDR within a comprehensive treatment plan, ensuring clients feel grounded, resourced, and prepared before processing begins. I use EMDR to help clients reprocess traumatic memories, reduce emotional distress, and develop more adaptive beliefs about themselves and their experiences. My approach is collaborative, paced to each client’s needs, and focused on creating lasting change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) to help adults process trauma, PTSD, and anxiety by identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns that developed after difficult experiences. Trauma can impact core beliefs, emotional regulation, and nervous system responses, leading to hypervigilance, avoidance, guilt, or self-blame. Through TF-CBT, I help clients build coping skills, challenge distorted beliefs, and gradually reduce trauma-related distress in a structured and supportive way. I integrate TF-CBT with other evidence-based approaches, including EMDR and trauma-informed care, to ensure treatment is tailored to each client’s needs and goals.

Couples Counseling

I provide couples therapy in Arizona and Washington using a combination of the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This evidence-based approach helps couples improve communication, repair trust, and break negative interaction cycles that lead to conflict, resentment, or emotional distance. I work with partners navigating relationship distress, affair recovery, parenting stress, and major life transitions, helping them strengthen emotional connection and rebuild security. By integrating practical conflict-management tools with attachment-focused interventions, I support couples in creating healthier patterns, deeper intimacy, and long-term relationship stability.
