About me

Hi, my name is Ariane and I am a California-based LCSW. Outside of therapy, I love being active to stay sane including running and hiking, as well as crocheting when I'm inside! I've always got a a novel I'm working my way through as well. I earned my Masters at the University of Illinois but returned to my home-state to further my career. I've been licensed for 4 years, but have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I provide a safe space for clients to work through their struggles without judgement and guiding clients toward their goals. I meet clients where they are at and work together while providing an outside perspective and psycho-education as needed.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I will meet you with empathy and unconditional positive regard. I hope to have clients feel supported, engaged, and to work collaboratively to reach their treatment goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have worked in a variety of settings with a variety of clients including adult mental health facilities, youth group homes, providing case management for adults with developmental disabilities, case management for adults discharged from the hospital, school-based counseling, and tele-therapy. This experience allows me to provide support to a wide variety of clients. I enjoy working with individuals who are goal-oriented, but maybe don't have the tools to be able to reach their potential.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe in a client-centered modality and meeting my clients where they are at. When life gets hard I believe it is important to have someone to help you process what you're going through from a place of curiosity rather than judgment. My goal is to help my clients improve their quality of life while feeling like they have a safe space to be heard. Clients will be able to process how their thoughts and behaviors are connected.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Let's break down what your struggling with together and look for a path forward that is supportive and possibly a perspective you haven't considered before.

Strength-Based

I always come from a strength-based perspective, understanding what you are already bringing to any given situation or issue and how it can be harnessed to meet your needs.

Psychoeducation

It's important to have a better understanding of the framework from which our lives are built. Psychoeducation can also help normalize your experiences.

Great at asking questions to help get the session moving in the right direction. Felt very comfortable sharing my story.
