Hi, my name is Evan. For the past 25 years, I have been helping people improve their lives. I help adults struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma from childhood or events they experienced, substance use, sexual abuse, low self-worth, people-pleasing, LGBTQ+ issues, and many other issues. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I am also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to work with people living in California.
I know some people are anxious and nervous starting therapy and i try to make it easy to talk. In our first session we will talk about what has brought you to therapy and how we can get you to a better place.
I am a great listener, supportive, friendly, but also blunt and direct when needed. I am good at helping people set goals and work towards them. I am good at helping people improve their moods.
I like working with a diverse population of people who want to improve their lives.

We are creatures of habit, we keep ourselves in familiar situations and respond the same way we always have, even if it isn't good for us. To change we need to be open to being uncomfortable and stepping outside of our comfort zone. We all have issues, but helping people focus on the ones they can control instead of the ones they can’t is helpful.

Just had my first session, but not the last. I felt very comfortable opening up with him. I laughed, I cried, but most of all I felt free to be honest about things without judgement. For the first time I am excited to start putting in the work to fix the things I need to fix. I feel hopeful that he can help me. I felt heard, but never judged and that's important to me. Looking forward to my next session. Looking forward to change and growth.

J is warm, direct, and solution-oriented. He strikes a balance between validating and providing new things to consider.

I have seen other therapist but always felt like I was just venting and I was not getting anywhere because they would always agree with me. Evan was the first one to actually tell me when I was wrong, that really helped because I was able to move on to finding solutions. I have only seen him for a few sessions but I already feel so much better and I am definitely confident that I can become the person that I want to be and change the things that I need to in order to achieve my goals.
