Welcome! My name is Jennifer, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 19 years of experience. I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I believe that our relationships—both with others and ourselves—are at the core of emotional well-being. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, you’re not alone. Therapy can feel like a big step, but it’s also a powerful one. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can gain clarity, build insight, and develop practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—your story, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll walk you through the therapy process so you know exactly what to expect, and together we’ll begin identifying clear, personalized goals. My priority is to create a safe, comfortable environment where you feel heard, respected, and understood. From there, we’ll work collaboratively at your pace, building strategies and insights that help you move toward the life and relationships you want.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Attachment Based Therapy, Family Systems and Gottman Method to help clients understand how patterns of thinking, emotion, and behavior develop—and how to change them. I work with clients to Identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional awareness and regulation, break cycles of conflict and disconnection from relational problems and build healthier communication and coping skills. My goal is not just insight, but real, practical change—helping you feel more in control, more connected, and more aligned with your values.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to work with adults, couples, and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, past trauma, and ongoing relationship or family conflict. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or caught in patterns of disconnection that they don’t know how to change. I work well with individuals who want to better understand how past experiences may be impacting their current thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and who are ready to develop healthier coping strategies and a stronger sense of stability. I also specialize in working with couples and families who are experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, or emotional distance. Together, we focus on improving understanding, rebuilding connection, and creating more effective ways of communicating and resolving issues. My approach is especially helpful for clients who are open to self-reflection, motivated for change, and looking for both emotional support and practical tools to improve their daily lives and relationships.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I utilize an attachment-based approach to treatment, helping individuals and couples understand how early relational experiences shape current patterns of connection, communication and emotional regulation. I support clients in exploring core needs for safety, trust and closeness within their relationships. I help clients identify patterns such as avoidance, reactivity, or fear of abandonment, and guide them in developing more secure ways of relating to themselves and others.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to help clients better understand connection between their thoughts, feelings and actions. Grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge distorted cognitions, and develop more balanced, adaptive ways of thinking.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I utilize a trauma-informed approach grounded in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support clients in processing and healing from past trauma. My work focuses on individuals understand how trauma impacts thoughts, emotions and behaviors while building skills to increase safety, stability and emotional regulation. I integrate structured evidence based interventions such as psycho-education, cognitive processing, narrative writing and gradual exposure to process traumatic memories, reduce avoidance and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to trauma.

Family Therapy

I utilize a systems based approach grounded in Bowenian Family Therapy to help clients understand how relational patterns, family dynamics, and multigenerational influences shape their current functioning. My work focuses on increasing insight into patterns such as emotional reactivity, triangulation, and difficulties with boundaries, while supporting clients in developing greater self-awareness and differentiation.

Gottman method

I utilize Gottman Method to support couples in strengthening their relationship, improving communication, and effectively navigating conflict. My work is grounded in research-based interventions that help partners better understand one another's emotional needs, patterns of interaction, and underlying dynamics within the relationship. I also focus on building skills to increase emotional attunement, repair, conflict and foster deeper connection.
