Tiara Briggs
Hi, I’m Tiara, and I’m glad you’re here! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma & Texas with experience supporting individuals in community mental health, private practice, and workplace well-being. I work with adults, particularly women and young adults, who are navigating self-doubt, anxiety, relationships challenges & life transition.
I help adults navigate self-doubt, relationships, and life transitions while discovering who they are beyond others' expectations.
Whether you're learning to set boundaries, questioning your abilities, or exploring what you want for yourself, therapy can provide space to better understand your experiences and recognize patterns. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, supportive self-discovery, self-acceptance, and meaningful personal growth.
First session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’d like support with, and what you hope will be different as a result of therapy. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. We’ll take things at a pace that feels comfortable while beginning to identify what you’d like us to focus on together. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and clear about our next steps. Happy to connect with you.
Strengths
I bring warmth, curiosity, and a genuine interest in getting to know you and your experiences. I listen without judgement while helping you explore patterns, recognize your strengths, and better understand yourself. My approach is collaborative and supportive, but I'll also gently challenge you when it may help you grow. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable exploring who you are at your own pace.
Ideal clients
You may be struggling with self-doubt, overthinking, or putting others' needs before your own. Perhaps you're navigating relationships, life changes, or trying to discover who you are beyond the expectations and roles you've learned to fulfill. You may feel uncertain about your next steps and are looking for a supportive space to explore your experiences, build self-acceptance, establish healthier boundaries, and develop greater confidence in yourself.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify & work through thinking patterns contributing to anxiety, self-doubt, & negative self-beliefs.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I will use person-centered to create a supportive, nonjudgemental space for clients to explore themselves at their own pace.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients clarify their values, develop psychological flexibility & take meaningful action.
Psychodynamic
I use psychodynamic lens to explore past experiences, family dynamics, and relationship patterns that may shape your sense of self.
