My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My theoretical background is CBT but I am an eclectic provider and will use modalities that are client centered and will help clients improve or decrease distressing symptoms. I have used CBT with clients who have anxiety, depression, and addiction issues to name a few. I help the client to identify behavioral patterns and their irrational thoughts to help them move towards desiring change and taking actions to change.

Finally having a therapist that understood my queer experience without explanation had me sigh in relief. Aspen made me feel seen, and advocated for me, my safety, and my experiences in every possible way. They were also reassuring, informative, empathetic, and approached me like an equal. They listened to my traumas in a respectful manner. The breakthroughs we made in the first session alone were very beneficial. I'm grateful to have someone like them in my corner.

First Intro session: I appreciated their direct and clear communication. No judgement and open acceptance of who I am/how I present, as well as a clearly rich and experienced tenure as a therapist. I would definitely see them again!
