Authentic

Originally from Haiti, I migrated to the U.S. at age 9 and grew up in Queens, NY. Fluent in Haitian Creole and French, I deeply understands the impact of childhood trauma, xenophobia, and adjustment difficulties on mental health. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a bachelor's in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College. I was trained at an Intensive Outpatient facility, working with dual-diagnosis clients. My approach fosters a supportive, non-judgmental environment for self-exploration, healing, and Self-leadership. Passionate about animals, I volunteered at the Humane Society Wildlife in Miami. In my free time, I enjoy being with family and my 6-year-old pocket bully.

First session

In our work together, you’ll learn how to recognize and unblend from parts that are reactive, avoidant, or critical, and connect with your core Self the calm, confident center within you. I’ll meet you where you are with warmth and respect while gently guiding you toward greater clarity, balance, and Self-leadership.

Strengths

I specialize in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps you explore the different “parts” of yourself with compassion and curiosity. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or simply trying to better understand yourself, IFS offers a path to healing that honors all aspects of your inner experience. I also integrate CBT, ACT Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to support deeper emotional regulation and personal growth. Clients often describe sessions with me as safe, collaborative, and insightful.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, stress, or challenges related to identity and personal growth. Many of the individuals I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or uncertain about how to move forward. Some are learning how to establish healthier boundaries, while others are processing painful experiences from the past that continue to affect their present lives. I especially enjoy working with clients who are curious, open to self-exploration, and willing to approach the therapeutic process with honesty, courage, and compassion. Whether we are helping a child build emotional regulation skills, supporting an adolescent through major life changes, or assisting an adult in healing from past experiences, my goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT helps people develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions instead of fighting against them. Rather than trying to eliminate painful experiences, ACT teaches skills that help you become more flexible, stay present, and take actions that align with your values and the life you want to build.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is based on the idea that we all have different "parts" of ourselves that influence our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Some parts protect us, some hold painful experiences, and others help us move through daily life. Through IFS, we work together to understand these parts with curiosity and compassion so that healing and lasting change can occur.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and develop practical tools and strategies to create healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and responding to life's challenges.

Play Therapy

Play is a child's natural way of communicating, expressing emotions, and making sense of the world around them. Through play therapy, children use games, art, storytelling, toys, and other creative activities to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. This approach helps children build confidence, develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and work through difficult experiences in a way that feels natural to them.
