I provide psychotherapy for adults, couples as well as families. My work with adults has covered a broad spectrum - from people who are having problems with relationships or need help with stress management and coping skills, to people suffering from mood disorders. I specialize in women's issues and life transitions. I am certified in addiction and have worked with high functioning individuals with addiction (gaming, alcohol, nicotine, etc.). I am able to do short term disability assessments and fill paperwork for the same as well. My treatment approach is eclectic and I use interventions based on CBT, IPT, ACT. My style is empathic, non-judgmental, interactive and collaborative. I can offer telehealth session in English, Gujrati, Hindi and Marathi. I work with women's issues and parenting issues. I offer couples and family therapy along with trauma support. I am an immigrant myself and can relate to the stress and trauma of immigration. I have lived experiences in addition to my professional and academic experience. I am a parent, wife, sister, daughter and navigate and juggle multiple roles in my personal life. I can empathize with the stress of day to day living as well as major life changes.
In the initial session I let the client lead the session, I like to get information on background, family, past relevant history and work towards setting some goals and objectives to work towards it.
I am compassionate, empathetic, and bring in multicultural focus into my work.
We all often get stuck in life in different stages and due to different reasons and we need support. I am able to support these needs and offer an unconditional space to help process trauma and validate feelings.

Dr. Sheetal is thorough in her analysis and asks relevant questions to help me in a session, working with me patiently to identify my medical condition. She is warm and patient, empowering in her counsel.
