Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can take away a feeling of comfort, understanding and a good laugh. Nix coins herself as the "Patch Adams of the mental health world"

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I utilize "eclectic, client-based approaches" which include but are not limited to: Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectal behavioral therapy, trauma, gestalt, Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic Therapies, and humanistic and integrative approaches.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths are connecting with people and formulating trust. My theory is that if you do not feel comfortable with me then of course you would not feeling comfortable talking about your deepest darkest traumas.

She offers a kind and gentle approach while addressing uncomfortable truths. She is very open minded and inclusive, and also very respectful about personal boundaries and beliefs. She is extremely understanding, empathetic, light hearted, and able to seamlessly break the tension that vulnerability brings. I believe she has brough insight on a lot in our short time. I also believe I have found the person that can help me succeed in this journey.
