I am a graduate of IU Columbus, and am a licensed mental health counselor. I have been in practice since 2022. As a therapist, I use a person centered approach and have training in ACT, and CAMs-care. I am an LGBTQ+ ally. I work with clients who have experienced trauma, who are diagnosed with bipolar, anxiety, depression, or experiencing suicidal ideation, and those with chronic medical conditions. While not Christian, I am able to work with clients who profess that faith.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a our time to build rapport. I like to know what are your values and your goals along with what brings you to therapy. As a person centered therapist, I validate your experiences while collaborating with you to set treatment goals that are specific, meaningful to you, along with being achievable, realistic, and able to be met in a timely manner.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I like to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your goals. While I tend to use a person centered approach in therapy, I also use interventions from ACT and from other modalities.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with a variety of clients. Those who are coping with life transitions, bereavement from job loss, anxiety over life's stressors, depression, challenges with bipolar disorder, and those who have experienced past trauma are all areas which I am comfortable with. I have some experience assisting those who have navigated religious trauma and working with those who are recovering from using substances.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have training in using ACT in therapy sessions. I use interventions based on client needs to assist them in setting goals, learning how to recognize complex emotions and navigate their experiences in order to have a richer, fuller life.

Strength-Based

I have been utilizing a strengths based person centered approach to therapy since graduating with my master's in mental health counseling. This intervention is based on helping a person better recognize their abilities, practice self-compassion, and build coping skills based upon each person's needs
