Hello, I am a woman, mother, wife, daughter, aunt, and soon-to-be grandmother. The path to achieving my goal of becoming a Clinical Psychologist - Marriage and Family Therapist began when I had my sons. I took all the steps to build my career, beginning with attending a community college, LACC, where I earned an Associate Degree in Child Development, then a Bachelor's in Psychology, and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. My interest and curiosity led me to a passionate career journey of helping people in different settings, with different upbringings and diverse family backgrounds, since 2010. I am bilingual; Spanish is my first language.

First session

Taking that first step can feel vulnerable, and it is completely normal to feel nervous. Our very fist session is simply a gentle space for us to get to know each other and chat about what brings you here. There is no pressure to have it all figured it out.

Strengths

Healing is a deeply personal journey, and our therapy will always be a true partnership. I blend practical tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)--to help you gently reshape unhelpful thoughts with mindfulness and trauma informed care. We will move at your exact pace, celebrate your insights and fluidly adapt your growth plan so it always feels empowering, achievable, and deeply meaningful to you.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are adults (ages 18–64) navigating meaningful life transitions, cultural identity navigation, or interpersonal dynamics. They often present with anxiety, burnout, boundary challenges, or stress stemming from balancing personal aspirations with family and cultural expectations. Demographics & Backgrounds: Young adults, adults, and middle-aged individuals across diverse cultural and social backgrounds—including Asian/Asian American, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous, first-generation, immigrant, LGBTQ+, and spiritual populations. Mindset & Goals: Collaborative, open-minded, and motivated to gain deeper self-awareness. They are seeking a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to unpack complex emotions, heal past patterns, and develop practical coping tools. Approach to Therapy: They value an inclusive, culturally responsive, and warm therapeutic relationship where they can engage at their own pace, express themselves authentically, and work toward personal growth and emotional balance.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Many clients don't know how CBT skills will help them shape their perceptions of common emotional/behavior issues, such as constant worry, rumination, catastrophizing, thought distortions, and others that interfere with daily mood, so I take my time to provide psychoeducation and teach them how the interventions work. I help the client build a tool skills box to challenge negative thinking and find ways to self-regulate using coping skills.
