I cater to most forms of mental health with my expertise most notably with complex PTSD from narcissistic abuse and ongoing abuse, anxiety, bipolar, and ADHD.

I truly honor the therapeutic alliance that lays the foundation to a collaboration effort where true healing and trust can occur. This allows for deep, impactful healing modalities to be utilized and for an authentic interaction to manifest into higher thinking, as well as guiding clients to attain a growth mindset for long term positive change.

First session

I tend to seek out the patterns formed from youth or difficult past experiences that hinder ones forward movement, enhance self-awareness of this, and guide in unearthing the best approaches for each unique individual. We can than unlearn detrimental cycles which gives a release of stuck, heavy emotions that burden our day to day experiences to find peace.

Strengths

I have had experience in a multitude of settings over the years which include domestic violence centers and shelters, sexual abuse clinics, inpatient and outpatient substance use rehabilitation centers, and psychiatric hospitals. I have worked with survivors of trauma and I have done extensive work with sex trafficking survivors. I also have experience with the neurodivergent population and with psychological evaluation for accommodations for school. I also have experience with substance abuse, parenting, and domestic violence group therapy which also involved psychological evaluation for court mandates. With all of my experience over the years it has allowed me to truly understand the many detriments of life we all come across so I can assess for what works best for you as an individual and guide you through remastering and empowering yourself no matter what your past may look like. I always maintain a nonjudgmental and completely open minded stance to create a safe haven for my clients. We all have a story but it is my goal to help my clients appreciate that story and start writing there new, fulfilling chapters ahead.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who wants to better understand themselves, their experiences, and the patterns that may be affecting their relationships and daily life. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, burnout, or the challenges of being neurodivergent and are looking for a therapist who will listen without judgment and help them feel understood. I especially enjoy working with adults who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in patterns they want to change. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware but may struggle with knowing how to translate that insight into meaningful change. They may want to develop healthier relationships, strengthen emotional regulation and coping skills, improve executive functioning, establish boundaries, or simply feel more comfortable being themselves. My ideal client is open to exploring their experiences at their own pace and is looking for a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic relationship. Together, we can work toward greater self-understanding, confidence, resilience, and a life that feels more authentic and manageable. I pride myself on being extremely relatable and authentic, coming from a place of life experience and not only education. I will always be supportive of your needs, nonjudgmental with your experiences, and wholeheartedly empathetic. Those that simply need to be heard, seen, and validated. I look forward to growing with you!

Treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is an approach i have had success in utilizing for many years due to its ability to evoke behavior change through assisting clients in exploring and resolving ambivalence to change. It is also extremely client and goal focused in order for clients to take control of there patterns and monitor their progress through open and honest assessment and goal attainment to enhance motivation and commit to change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT involves the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to understand how this impacts our lives and day to day interactions. It focuses on cognitive distortions and negative thinking patterns that are hindering ones ability to perceive situations and relationships as they are but rather connected to there internal turmoil.

Existential

This approach examines meaning, purpose, and value when facing crisis and confusion when the big questions of life surface. The focus is on the clients struggle to lead an authentic and fulfilling life due to the constraints felt by the world of today.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I have experience using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to support adults with PTSD and trauma-related concerns. My approach focuses on helping clients identify and challenge trauma-related "stuck points," develop healthier perspectives, and build effective coping skills through cognitive restructuring, psychoeducation, and a trauma-informed, collaborative therapeutic relationship. My goal is to help clients reduce distress while fostering resilience and long-term recovery.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase psychological flexibility by accepting difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding them. My approach emphasizes mindfulness, values clarification, and committed action, empowering clients to respond more effectively to life's challenges while pursuing meaningful, values-driven goals.

I look so forward to our talks on Monday and I know that if I miss one or two, I feel like I'm taking two steps backwards. I find that it's important to make sure that I get to my meetings with her and that I'm open and honest just as she is open and honest with me. I do look forward to our meetings on Monday
