My name is Wendy Green, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York. I work with adults, supporting them through a wide range of challenges including anxiety, relationship struggles, self-esteem concerns, and women’s issues. I believe therapy should be a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and understood. My approach is flexible and guided by your unique needs. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. In practice, this means we’ll work together to explore your experiences, identify unhelpful patterns, and find practical strategies that support your growth and well-being.
During our first session, my priority is to help you feel comfortable and understood. We’ll spend time building trust, exploring what brought you to therapy, and gathering background information at a pace that feels right for you. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you’d like.

I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore your own motivations and find the reasons for change. Through trust, empathy, and collaboration, you are empowered to make informed decisions about your life.
In my practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will help you learn to identify and change your negative thoughts and behaviors. The use of deep breathing, journaling, and replacing negative thoughts with more balanced, realistic perspectives helps you to improve your emotional well-being and behavior.
With Solution Focused Brief Therapy, we help you discover, clarify and achieve your own solutions to your problems. It supports and motivates you to move forward in life, rather than remaining stuck on the issues you are currently facing. We will help you set clear, concise and realistic goals.
