Life can feel overwhelming when stress, anxiety, or life challenges begin to affect your relationships, work, or sense of well-being. I am passionate about helping individuals explore emotional and behavioral wellness while strengthening the connection between mind and body. With nearly 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and outpatient settings, I have supported many people through life’s challenges. I work with adults and teens who are experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, trauma, or emotional difficulties. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns and developing healthier ways to cope and move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a calm and welcoming space where you can share at your own pace. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin understanding the emotional, spiritual, or behavioral challenges you may be facing. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. This is a time for you to feel heard, supported, and understood. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and together we’ll begin creating a plan that feels comfortable and tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session with a sense of relief, greater clarity, and hope for the path ahead. I welcome adults and teens seeking support through anxiety, stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of the strengths I bring to therapy is my ability to support clients in exploring emotional, spiritual, and behavioral healing in a balanced way. I help clients look beyond symptoms and understand how past experiences, current challenges, and personal strengths are connected. With experience working in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and outpatient settings, I have supported people across the lifespan and understand how complex the healing process can be. I strive to provide a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences. Many clients share that they feel truly heard and supported in our sessions, which helps them move from simply surviving toward feeling more confident, empowered, and hopeful. I work with adults and teens experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, and life transitions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with healthier and more balanced ways of thinking. This approach can help reduce anxiety, manage stress, and build practical coping skills by focusing on what clients can control in their daily lives.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy helps clients slow down, tune into their inner experiences, and respond to stress with greater clarity and calm. In my work with clients, I integrate mindfulness practices with cognitive techniques to help people become more aware of their thoughts and emotions without feeling overwhelmed by them. This approach can support clients in managing stress, improving emotional balance, and developing greater self-awareness.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps clients learn how to manage strong emotions, set healthy boundaries, and improve their relationships. In my work with clients, I incorporate DBT skills such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills can be especially helpful for individuals who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or who have difficulty navigating conflict in relationships.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-Focused CBT helps individuals process and heal from difficult or traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive way. In my work with clients, I use this approach to help people understand how trauma can affect thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping strategies. This process can help clients reduce emotional distress, regain a sense of safety, and move forward with greater resilience and confidence.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) help clients develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions while focusing on actions that align with their personal values. In my work with clients, I help individuals build awareness of their internal experiences while developing skills to stay present and move toward meaningful goals. This approach can be especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, and life transitions while creating a more balanced and fulfilling life.
