New to Grow
Hello! My name is Gayle. I am kind and warm, but honest and straightforward. My therapeutic approach is non-judgmental, meaning I will meet you with empathy and understanding, regardless of the issues that are causing you distress. At times, life's stressors seem insurmountable, and it feels as though it’s difficult to just get through the day. I can help guide you toward a resolution and healing. I am adept at working with individuals or couples with a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, relational conflict, trauma, life transitions, and I specialize in OCD and BiPolar Disorders.
Our first session together will require me to obtain important information from you, and you will start to get to know me. In order to gain greater insight into emotions and core issues, it is essential that a trusting relationship between therapist and client be established. Together, we can set your personal goals for change and I will assist you in accessing and building on your strengths, and finding the resources in your life to help you achieve balance and healing.
Therapy is about feeling heard and supported when you are faced with life’s most difficult challenges. I use evidence-based therapies and techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ERP, and trauma informed care.
I have worked with all age groups, but I am particularly interested in working with adults. I like to work with those who are transitioning to another phase of life whether it be college to work life, parenthood, or retirement. I believe people who are headed for retirement are focused on the freedom from the daily grind, but often find they miss the structure. Let's work together to find purpose in life no matter what stage.
