About

Hi there! I’m a therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting adults and seniors in different settings. I’m passionate about walking alongside my clients as they work toward healing and growth. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, exploring what’s been weighing on you, and discovering your strengths. Together, we’ll work at your pace to help you move toward the life you want. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches and tailor our work to fit your unique needs and goals. I specialize in working with women's issues, divorce, grief, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I’m currently accepting new clients and would be honored to be part of your journey.

I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with more than 15 years of experience working with clients.

First session

Therapy is a collaborative process, and I’ll be here to support you as you build skills, gain insight, and create meaningful change in your life. Our sessions will gently focus on setting and revisiting your goals, practicing new coping strategies, and reflecting on your progress at a pace that feels right for you. In your first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we begin getting to know one another. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, the challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to gain from this experience. I may also ask about your personal history to better understand your story and how to best support you. We’ll go over important details such as confidentiality, how sessions work, and the approach we’ll take together. This is also your time to ask questions, share any concerns, and get a feel for whether this space feels right for you. As we continue our work, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Together, we’ll begin to notice patterns, build on your strengths, and develop personalized strategies to help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

Strengths

I have had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, grief, and more complex mental health concerns. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, informed by a trauma-sensitive perspective, and guided by a deep commitment to tailoring care to each person’s unique experiences and goals. I view therapy as a deeply personal process, where meaningful change begins with a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. Many clients seek support during times when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about the future. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward. I strive to meet each client where they are, both emotionally and psychologically, honoring the individuality of their journey and recognizing that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. My work is collaborative in nature. I partner with clients to clarify their goals, build insight, and develop practical strategies for growth. This collaborative approach fosters a sense of empowerment and ownership, which is essential for meaningful and lasting change.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is a woman that is capable, dependable, and used to handling a lot. On paper, your life may look steady—career, relationships, responsibilities all in place. But underneath, you might feel drained, disconnected, or caught in patterns you can’t fully make sense of. Anxiety can show up as constant overthinking, tension in your relationships, or a sense that you’re no longer fully yourself. You’re looking for clarity, more effective communication, and healthier ways to manage stress without losing who you are. I offer solution-focused, trauma, and cognitive behavior therapy. We will work beyond coping skills and discover what’s contributing to your stress and patterns, and build skills you can actually use in your daily life. My approach is grounded in proven methods and designed to help you create noticeable, meaningful change. You don’t have to keep pushing through on your own. When something feels off or heavier than it should, it’s worth paying attention to. Therapy helps to sort through what’s going on, gain direction, and move forward with intention. My goal is to help you feel like yourself again—clear, steady, and confident in how you show up in your life & relationships.

Treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have extensive experience utilizing Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a goal-oriented, evidence-based approach that emphasizes clients’ strengths and capacity for change. This approach focuses on identifying what is already working and building on those successes to develop practical, achievable solutions. SFBT is effective in addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and life transitions by promoting resilience and forward-focused change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. For example, if you often think “I’m not good enough,” we’ll work on identifying that pattern, challenging it, and replacing it with more balanced thinking. If anxiety leads you to avoid certain situations, we’ll gradually build skills and confidence to face them. My approach is structured, collaborative, and focused on giving you tools you can use in everyday life.

Experience brought me to the provider. She was very open and warm but also direct and solution oriented in her approach to help me figure out if what she could provide would be a good fit. She allowed me to ask questions honestly and I felt that I could do so without feeling hesitant or at the risk of offending her. Overall a great experience and great practice with being able to make a decision in a systematic way as opposed to solely based on how it felt. Would recommend😌
