Hi! I’m Sean, a licensed psychotherapist based in Oakland, CA offering evidence based treatment for individuals across California through telehealth. I enjoy working with individuals who are interested in improving the quality of their interpersonal relationships. I specialize in working with non-traditional sexuality, identities, and relationships. My work is with diverse individuals, including all gender expressions, sexual orientations, and Kink/BDSM/Polyamory issues. *Please note that I am not currently accepting couples referrals
In our first session we will dive into your history and your goals for therapy. We will collaborate on what priorities for treatment are.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my humor, warmth and open mindedness. My experience working with the most underserved populations for the majority of my career has well positioned me to work with a large variety of experiences.
I am a good fit for men/masc folx, LGBTQ+ people who need support navigating identity as well as people working on boundaries, self love, open relationships/polyamory.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
the ACT method involves acknowledging and embracing the full range of your thoughts and emotions rather than trying to avoid, deny, or alter them.
Relational
Relational Therapy takes into account the ways in which social and familial factors relate to the relationships in a person’s life. This means that the relationship between us as provider and client is the most important ingredient to success in therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This method utilizes the cognitive model to build awareness of how our thinking influences our emotions and in turn our behaviors. It is a structured, goal-oriented type of talk therapy. It can help manage mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, and emotional concerns, such as coping with grief or stress.

Sean considers your whole self in his therapy style. His encouragement and understanding nature along with his funny milennial jokes always allow me to feel like I can share anything without feeling judged. I love his style of therapy, and believe it has really made a difference in my life.
