Hi, I’m Elvia, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas specializing in anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I help individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained learn how to manage their thoughts, process past experiences, and regain a sense of control. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT and EMDR, I provide a supportive, goal-oriented space where you can feel heard and empowered. I also have a passion for supporting perinatal mental health. You don’t have to do this alone — I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my priority is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you, the challenges you’re facing, and what you’d like to see change. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your experiences, but there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and create a plan that feels manageable and tailored to you. Many clients leave the first session feeling a sense of relief, clarity, and hope — along with practical tools they can start using right away.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to balance empathy with structure. Clients often share that they feel truly heard and understood, while also gaining practical tools that help them make real progress outside of sessions. I specialize in helping individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns, process past experiences, and build emotional regulation skills. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented — so you’re not just talking, you’re actively working toward feeling better.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or life transitions and are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. They may be experiencing constant worry, overthinking, emotional exhaustion, or difficulty letting go of past experiences. Many are navigating relationship challenges, trauma, burnout, or uncertainty about their future and want practical tools to feel more in control. I also work well with individuals in the perinatal stage who may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure in their new role. My clients are often motivated for growth, open to learning new strategies, and ready to take steps toward feeling more grounded, confident, and emotionally balanced.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess memories that may feel “stuck,” reducing their emotional intensity. I use EMDR in a safe, structured, and paced way to support clients in healing from trauma, anxiety, and past experiences while building a stronger sense of emotional stability and resilience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a core part of my approach and is highly effective for anxiety, depression, and stress. I help clients identify negative thought patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and replace them with more balanced, realistic thinking. Together, we focus on practical strategies and coping skills that can be applied in everyday life to improve emotional regulation and overall functioning.

Trauma Informed Care

My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, which means I prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment in every session. I recognize how past experiences can impact current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and I work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This approach ensures that therapy feels supportive, non-judgmental, and collaborative while helping you regain a sense of control.

Grief Therapy

I provide compassionate support for individuals experiencing grief and loss. Grief can show up in many ways — sadness, anxiety, confusion, or even numbness — and there is no “right” way to process it. I help clients navigate their emotions, make meaning of their loss, and gradually find ways to move forward while still honoring their experiences and connections.
