I provide counseling services for children, teens, and young adults who are navigating the many challenges that come with growing, changing, and finding their footing in the world. Many of my clients seek support for anxiety, depression, stress, low self-confidence, or major life transitions. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. When working with children and adolescents, I often use a play-based and developmentally appropriate approach. Play, creativity, and interactive activities allow younger clients to express themselves in ways that are natural and comfortable - especially when putting feelings into words is difficult. My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths based, and rooted in authenticity. I believe meaningful progress happens through trust, connection, and collaboration.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is normal to have questions or feel a little unsure. The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. During our first session, we will talk about what brought you (or your child) to therapy, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from counseling. There is no pressure to share everything at once, this is simply a starting point. I will also ask questions to better understand strengths, challenges, and what support looks like for you or your family. For parents and caregivers, collaboration is important. We will discuss goals, answer questions, and talk about how to best support your child outside of sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships and to meet clients where they are. I bring a calm, authentic presence that helps children, teens, and young adults feel safe, understood, and respected.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Children may come to therapy for many reasons, including anxiety or worries, difficulty with emotional regulation, changes in behavior, school related stress, social challenges, family changes, or low self- confidence. I focus on helping clients strengthen coping skills, build confidence, improve emotional regulation, and feel more secure in themselves. I also value collaboration with parents and caregivers and provide support and guidance to help reinforce skills outside of sessions. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel understood, encouraged, and empowered.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help children, teens, and young adults understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. By talking through things that are on their minds, we work together to change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors. I teach them skills to deal with challenges like stress, anxiety, or low mood in a healthier way. It’s kind of like giving them tools to feel more in control of their emotions and their lives.

Play Therapy

I also use play as part of therapy, which is especially helpful for younger clients. Play allows children and adolescents to express their feelings and thoughts in a creative way. Whether it’s through games, art, or role-playing, play helps them work through situations they might not have the words for yet. It creates a safe space for them to explore and understand their feelings, while also building important skills like problem-solving and coping.
