Sometimes the hardest decisions we make is simply asking for help. It can be uncomfortable and anxiety inducing. Please know that you have a safe space here. My experience in the field has provided me with the opportunity to provides services to individuals of all different backgrounds and experiences or struggles such as trauma (past or present), managing day to day needs, coping skills, conflicts, and life transitions.
During our first session, you can expect this time will be spent learning about you, your experiences, what works well, what does not work well, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I view this first session as an opportunity to not only to learn about you, but to understand what your short term and long-term needs are. As therapy can be intimidating, my hope is you find quickly you are in a comfortable and supportive environment with me.
I center my practice on the social work ethical value-Dignity and Worth of a Person. As needs vary from person to person, sessions are focused on what your individual needs are in that moment. Everyone deserves to have the opportunity to express their needs, concerns, and feelings in a non-judgmental environment. I am proud to be able to provide this. Since therapy needs can happen at any time, I offer sessions during the day, later afternoon, and on Saturdays as well.
If you feel you struggling with coping with life’s day to day stressors or are feeling lost or unsure how to move forward? Maybe you are struggling with relationships, know you are not alone. I am happy to work with you no matter your age or how long you have been trying to better yourself. I understand that work may conflict with scheduling at times, therefore I offer appointments in the afternoon, evening l, and Saturdays.
