My name is Giannina, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) with 10 years of experience. My approach is genuine, down-to-earth, and compassionate. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and provide a safe, respectful space where you can show up as your full self.

My name is Giannina, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) with 10 years of experience.

Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of your peace of mind and work toward building the balance, confidence, and connection you deserve. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR to help clients manage anxiety, heal from trauma, and navigate life’s challenges with more confidence and clarity. I work with adults who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change—and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

First session

Our first session is all about getting to know you—your story, what’s been weighing on you, and what you’d like to work toward. I’ll ask some gentle questions to understand your background and goals, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. My goal is to help you feel at ease, heard, and supported from the very start. Together, we’ll begin creating a plan that feels right for you and start building the trust and comfort that will guide our work together.

Strengths

I’m a genuine and passionate therapist who believes in meeting each client where they are with empathy, patience, and respect. With 10 years of experience, I combine compassion with evidence-based tools like CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR to help clients heal from trauma, manage anxiety, and build confidence. I stay up to date with current therapies because I truly care about offering the best support possible. My clients often tell me they appreciate my calm presence, understanding nature, and the safe space I create for growth and healing.

Ideal clients

I work with adults from all backgrounds who are ready to better understand themselves and create real, lasting change. My clients often come to therapy feeling stressed, stuck, or wanting to improve their relationships and overall well-being. They’re ready to create change, even if they’re not sure where to start. My clients value honesty, connection, and a therapist who feels real and down-to-earth. If you’re ready to take that next step toward balance and personal growth, I’m here to guide and support you through the process.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping skills, and promote lasting emotional change.

EMDR

I use EMDR therapy to help clients target and reprocess negative beliefs so they lose their emotional intensity, creating space for healthier, more empowering perspectives to emerge.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients find balance between acceptance and change. Through mindfulness, emotional regulation, and communication skills, DBT teaches clients how to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence — like learning to steer steady through shifting waves

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my work with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help clients create space for their thoughts and emotions without getting caught in them. Together, we focus on reconnecting with personal values and taking meaningful action, even when life feels uncertain — like learning to walk with the waves instead of fighting against them.

Giannina is an incredible therapist and helps me not only get to the root of what is going on but also helps me find solutions or ways to work through it. She is the best therapist that I've ever had and I am so happy to be working with her.

She was so kind, listened to everything I said and on the spot came up with a plan that made me feel hope. Something I haven't felt in a long while. Very grateful.
