About me

Do you feel like you have a lot on your mind but don’t know where to put it? Maybe you’ve become used to keeping things to yourself, questioning whether your feelings are “important enough” to talk about, or trying to handle everything on your own. You may know something needs to change, but aren’t quite sure where to start. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating. My goal is to make that step feel a little easier. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can slow down, be heard, and make sense of what you’re experiencing. You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy—we can work through it together. My approach is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping you recognize patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult situations. I also incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help you manage stress, stay grounded, and become more aware of what you need in the moment. Therapy is not about having someone tell you what to do. It’s about having a space where you can better understand yourself, work through what has been weighing on you, and develop tools that feel realistic for your life. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in negative thought patterns, struggling with stress, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of control over how you respond to life’s challenges. Reaching out can be the hardest part. You’ve already taken an important step by considering therapy. **I will not be able to evaluate for disability, custody or court-related documents.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to share what has been weighing on your mind. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say—we can take our time and start wherever feels most comfortable for you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently experiencing, and how those concerns may be affecting your thoughts, emotions, relationships, or daily life. Most importantly, you’ll have a compassionate and non-judgmental space to feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll begin identifying what you would like to be different and what you hope to gain from therapy. By the end of our first session, we’ll have a better understanding of your goals and begin creating a personalized plan for moving forward using approaches and techniques that fit your needs. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling that you’ve taken an important step toward understanding what you’re experiencing and that you don’t have to navigate it alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist comes from my 10 years of experience working with individuals and families navigating chronic illness. I have seen firsthand how living with ongoing health challenges can bring a rollercoaster of emotions, including anxiety, depression, grief, frustration, and uncertainty. These experiences have taught me the importance of creating a space where people feel safe to be honest about what they are going through without feeling judged or dismissed. I believe in taking the time to truly listen and help clients make sense of their emotions rather than simply trying to “fix” the problem. Together, we can explore what may be contributing to the way you are feeling, identify underlying concerns, and develop practical ways to move forward. I also recognize that seeking mental health support can come with unique barriers, particularly within the South Asian community. I hope to help break down some of those barriers by creating an environment where clients feel understood, respected, and comfortable discussing their experiences. I understand the importance of cultural experiences and family dynamics and strive to approach each person with empathy and an open mind. Most importantly, I want my clients to know that they do not have to navigate difficult times alone. Taking the first step toward therapy can be difficult, and I am here to support you along the way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I currently work with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. My ideal clients are individuals who are open to exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences and are willing to work collaboratively toward creating meaningful change. You don’t have to know exactly what you need from therapy when you begin. Sometimes, simply recognizing that something isn’t working or that you don’t want to continue feeling the way you’ve been feeling is enough to get started. I enjoy working with clients who are curious about understanding themselves better and developing practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. I especially value working with individuals who want a supportive space to process their experiences, gain a different perspective, and build confidence in their ability to handle difficult situations.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is focused on identifying how our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all related. By identifying negative thought patterns that may trigger unwanted feelings or behaviors, we can change them to alter how we react.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Centering ourselves in moments of anxiety or depression can help us improve our ability to handle stressful situations. Taking a moment to tune into what your body is telling you allows you to recognize the impact thoughts have on your physical health.
