Paula Ehrmantraut
I want to work with you to gain the tools and strategies to help you move past the area that is of concern. I believe that we must find the positive and the good in each day, even if it's small, to give us the power and motivation to move forward. It is not always easy, but it is definitely worth it.
First session
My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, psychoanalytic, and trauma-focused CBT techniques with teaching self-compassion. I tailor treatment plans to meet your unique needs. When you're ready to take your first step toward change, I'm here to guide you toward a more productive life. I do like to give homework.
Strengths
I specialize in children, adolescents, and young adults. I further specialize in the LGBTQ-plus community, as well as marriage and family therapy. I believe in asking questions and providing homework as necessary. I want you to feel free to express your thoughts and opinions openly and to know you will never be judged, but I also challenge irrational thoughts by reframing and using CBT approaches for better understanding. I will work with my clients independently and individually to develop short-term and long-term goals for effective treatment.
Ideal clients
My first session with clients A comfortable introduction to gain rapport and a sense of working together. Every client needs to understand that I work for them and their treatment success is my utmost priority, and if I am not the one who can help them, then I encourage them to always seek out the one who can. Treatment methods
Eclectic
Eclectic therapy is a flexible, personalized mental health approach that combines distinct techniques from various psychological theories—such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and humanistic therapy—tailoring treatment to fit each unique client and problem rather than relying on a single method.
