Welcome! I received my Masters of Art (counseling) from Oakland University in 2017. I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 and have experience working with a wide variety of individuals at all stages of their lives. My areas of specialization include life transitions, self-esteem, trauma, personality disorders, depression and anxiety. I work with individuals 13 and older. I have training and experience in DBT, EMDR, and am a trauma certified counselor. It is my goal to provide a space where you feel safe, heard and respected so that you can gain a better understanding about things you are struggling with in life. Whether that be life transitions, relationships, grief, work stressors etc., that may be causing you to feel stressed, stuck or unwell. At each stage in life comes challenges, I aim to help you navigate these with an approach personalized for you and your needs. I look forward to learning more about you and working together to help you address your current challenges and achieve your goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can be a difficult step for us to take sometimes and my goal is to make you feel safe in the therapy session. Our first session helps us make sure we are a good fit for each other. It is important to me to make sure you feel comfortable. We will also go over treatment expectations and explore the current challenges you are looking for support with.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work to meet clients where they currently are. My goal is to build trust and connection to create a space of safety and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is interested in making change in their life. Growth and healing can be challenging and we all have our days, but with support it can be a lot easier. Be it navigating serious mental health challenges, the changes teenage and young adulthood present, menopause, parents navigating their kids growing, or simply working towards a mentally healthier life, I am fortunate to be able to be a safe space for you along the way.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

Not every person is the same so why would treatment be the same for everyone? I use a person-centered approach first and foremost but have experience and training in a variety of modalities so that your treatment is tailored to you and your needs.
