You don't have to face these difficulties alone; let's work together to find clarity, healing, and renewed hope on your journey toward well-being.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During the initial session, you can expect to discuss their reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. I am going to attempt to explore the issue that brought you to therapy, its history, and its influence on your life. I like the solution-focused approach, but acknowledge its limitations. This first session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. The first session is about establishing a fit. I believe that it's difficult to be open with someone you don't trust. I try to build trust and relationships in the session.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Adlerian
I primarily use the adlerian approach as I feel it is difficult for a person to be honest and receptive to change if there is no congruence between the therapist and the patient. My approach is primarily driven and predicated upon a successful clinical relationship being developed within the first 2 sessions. Put simply, most people dont open up and be honest with themselves if they dont feel safe and like they can trust you.
Attachment-based
I beleive that many, if not all relationships utilize the fitness model. Early relationships impact future ones and an analysis of relationship dynamics tends to allow for the opportunity for personal insight into current relationship dynamics. Put simply, your relationships tend to be formed by how you did or did not interact with others previously.

Jayson is very practical and down to earth. Although he can be very understanding, his no-nonsense approach has helped me to take action in multiple areas of my life.

I think all above choices for describing Jason apply. He is solution-oriented, which presents a challenge. Intelligent, humorous, authentic. Direct, warm and open-minded also fully apply. He presented me with tremendous insight into my situation I was working through on our 2nd or 3rd session, which is immensely impressive. I never felt judged, and felt comfortable with him by the end of our first session, which is rare for me. I heartily recommend him as a therapist.

First session. He was very open and his personality thus far helped reduce my anxiety of starting therapy. Helped me to open some as well. Looking forward to my progress, I'm encouraged and optimistic about my personal growth!
