LCMHC, 3 years of experience
New to Grow
Welcome, my name is Jenilee Hopkins. I am a passionate therapist who believes that healing begins in a space of safety, compassion, and genuine connection. If you're feeling weighed down by life and need someone to help you, I am here for you. Together, we'll explore patterns, nurture self-compassion, and uncover the inner wisdom that supports authentic change. I am here to walk with you on your journey, side by side. Remember, you are not alone. There is hope for a brighter future and lasting change.
Your first session is a gentle beginning — a space to get to know each other and start building a foundation of trust. We’ll take time to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to work on, and what goals you’d like to move toward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; we move at a pace that feels right for you. Many clients describe the first session as a relief — a chance to finally exhale, be heard, and begin to make sense of what’s been weighing on them. My goal is for you to leave feeling safe, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
With experience supporting trauma survivors, veterans, individuals navigating addiction, and those managing anxiety and depression, I bring a wealth of knowledge and empathy to each session. I am dedicated to helping you transform emotional suffering into healing, balance, and a renewed sense of purpose. Together, we will explore what matters most to you, uncover your inner strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. When you work with me, you’re not just receiving therapy — you’re embarking on a collaborative journey toward growth, resilience, and self-discovery.
If you are feel weighed down by trauma, addiction, anxiety, or depression, I want you to know there is hope. You might be tired of old patterns, searching for peace, or simply longing to feel more balanced and connected to yourself again. We can begin taking steps towards lasting and meaningful change, so that you can get your life back. Together, we explore what it means to move from emotional suffering toward healing. You don’t have to have it all figured out — just a willingness to begin.
In order to cultivate a safe place for my clients to heal and grow, I utilize a person-centered approach to foster the development of the therapeutic alliance. It is important for me to ensure my clients feel seen and heard. Over the past three years, I have used this approach while facilitating group therapy and while providing individual therapy.
Trauma impacts clients' ability to live fully, keeping clients stuck in survival mode. I utilize EMDR therapy to help clients work through past trauma, increase their adaptive processing ability, and aim to develop their coping skills. I use this specific therapy to address PTSD and attachment-related wounds.
Negative thoughts if left unchecked can impact emotions and behaviors, which can reduce clients' quality of life. Using a CBT framework, I help clients pinpoint how their negative core beliefs keep them stuck in a negative feedback loop.
In this fast-past world, anxiety is increasing in individuals. It can be challenging to navigate symptoms of anxiety and life. With mindfulness-based therapy, I support clients in learning skills to reduce anxiety in the mind and tension in the body so that they can live in the present moment.
I use ACT to help client's accept their emotions while making decisions that align with values as they navigate life's challenges.
