About me

Greetings! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Tx. As a passionate counselor, I believe the beauty of life is that it gives an opportunity to review, reflect and reform our own stories so we can keep pushing through our adversities. No matter what age, race, creed or status, healing comes from the support of someone being able to help you take the very first step to recovery. My areas of competence include individual and group counseling with a special interest in youth and early adulthood. My education as a counselor began at SHSU in August 2013

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Our life is a story. Each day, each moment in time, adds to the pages of our story. The beauty of life is that it gives us the ability to rewrite our own stories. Though we can’t change the past, as your therapist, I am able to help you rediscover your resilience, passion, and mostly importantly self love to get through the next chapter in your life. When we are able to take very first step towards our healing, we find peace, joy, and forgiveness again.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I believe that a client’s self-awareness, thought processes, strengths and talents, and ability to make positive life choices are the keys to developing self-direction and independence. As a passionate counselor, I believe that clients have the ability to choose how to resolve their own problems and can make their own decisions with my assistance as a facilitator. The use of my techniques enables you to use the resilient power you have to create the change you desire.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By focusing on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, I guide clients in identifying and restructuring negative thought patterns, fostering healthier coping mechanisms, and promoting lasting positive change. My tailored approach ensures that each individual receives personalized care, empowering them to achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their overall well-being. Through ongoing collaboration and support, I am committed to helping clients navigate their journey towards mental health and resilience.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have cultivated a therapeutic practice that prioritizes empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. This client-centered method empowers individuals to take the lead in their own healing process, fostering a safe and non-judgmental environment where they can explore their thoughts and feelings openly. By actively listening and providing compassionate support, I help clients tap into their innate capacity for self-understanding and personal growth. My goal is to create a collaborative and trusting relationship, enabling each person to uncover their true potential and achieve meaningful, lasting change. Through this approach, I am dedicated to supporting clients on their unique journeys towards self-acceptance and emotional well-being.
