Starting therapy can feel overwhelming—whether you’re an adult carrying the weight of stress and expectations, or an adolescent trying to make sense of intense emotions, pressure and change. I work with adults and adolescents who are navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, stress, or self-doubt, and are looking for support that feels both compassionate and practical. My approach is collaborative, warm, and structured. With adolescents, I focus on building emotional awareness, coping skills, and confidence while creating a space where they feel heard and supported. With adults, we work to better understand patterns, develop effective tools, and create meaningful change in daily life. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, gain insight, and build skills that support long-term emotional well-being. I welcome clients who are new to therapy as well as those returning after time away, and I strive to create an environment that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what will happen. My goal in the first session is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. There’s no pressure to know exactly what to say or where to begin. In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, what’s been feeling difficult lately, and what you’re hoping to get out of this process. You’re always in control of what you share, and there’s no expectation to talk about everything at once. We’ll also talk through: Any current stressors or challenges How anxiety, emotions, or stress may be showing up in your daily life What has or hasn’t been helpful for you in the past What therapy can look like moving forward I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you have, and we’ll begin identifying goals at a pace that feels right for you. Many clients leave the first session feeling relieved, clearer about what they’re experiencing and more hopeful about next steps, even if things still feel hard. For adolescents, the first session focuses on building trust and helping them feel safe and understood. I also take time to clarify confidentiality and parent involvement so expectations feel clear and respectful for everyone. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance or have the “right” words. Showing up as you are is enough. Therapy is a collaborative process. We’ll take it one step at a time, together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach stands out for its balance of warmth, structure, and evidence-based care. I draw from diverse clinical experiences working with clients across identities, backgrounds, and life stages, allowing me to tailor treatment to each individual. I focus on practical, effective interventions that help clients feel more grounded, build emotional skills, and create meaningful change both in and outside of therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed or stuck and are open to self-reflection and collaboration. You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong or what needs to change. Willingness to explore, learn, and engage in the process is what matters most.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an evidence-based, practical approach to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical responses. Through collaboration and skill-building, CBT supports reduced anxiety and stress, improved emotional regulation, and more effective ways of navigating daily challenges and relationships.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT as a practical, skills-based approach to help clients better manage intense emotions and improve emotional regulation. Through mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills, DBT supports reduced distress and more effective ways of navigating relationships, stress, and daily challenges.

Multicultural

I utilize multicultural therapy to learn essential information about clients regarding their identities, belief systems and systemic issues. Each client has a unique identity that directly impacts their experience with mental health. It is vital to understand ones identity to collaborate in developing goals, selecting appropriate strategies and techniques and conceptualizing challenges.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This treatment method is utilized to treat specific problems that are impacting ones life. Strategies and techniques for problem solving are emphasized along with goal setting.

Psychodynamic

This treatment approach is utilized to strengthen client's awareness to how past experiences are impacting present experiences to develop solutions for identified problems and facilitate desired changes.
