I am a licensed clinician with over 16 years of experience providing thoughtful, strengths-based, and culturally responsive therapy to individuals seeking meaningful change in their lives. My work is grounded in the belief that every person brings resilience, wisdom, and the capacity for growth, no matter how overwhelming life may feel in the moment. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you; it is about partnering with you to uncover strengths, deepen insight, and build practical tools that support healing and long-term well-being. My approach is individualized, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I take time to truly understand your story, your identities, and the systems that shape your experiences. Together, we clarify your goals and tailor treatment to meet your unique needs, whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or professional burnout. I integrate evidence-based practices with a compassionate, relational style that prioritizes safety, authenticity, and trust. In our work together, my goal is not only symptom relief, but sustainable change. I support clients in strengthening self-awareness, confidence, and emotional regulation so they feel more capable in their relationships and daily lives. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and I am honored to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with their strengths and build a life that feels more balanced, purposeful, and whole.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to begin building a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship. I understand that starting therapy can feel both hopeful and intimidating, so I aim to make our initial meeting feel grounded, respectful, and at your pace. During the session, I will invite you to share what brought you to therapy and what you are hoping to gain from our work together. We will talk about current concerns, relevant life experiences, and any past therapy you may have had; always with attention to what feels comfortable for you to share. I may ask thoughtful questions to better understand your story, strengths, stressors, and supports, but there is no pressure to disclose everything at once. I will also explain my therapeutic approach, answer questions, and review logistics such as confidentiality, boundaries, and next steps. Together, we will begin identifying initial goals and what a meaningful therapy process could look like for you. Most importantly, the first session is about connection. You can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where you are heard, respected, and taken seriously. By the end of our time, many clients leave feeling a sense of relief, clarity, and a clearer understanding of whether working together feels like the right fit.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out most about my therapeutic approach is the way I blend clinical depth with humanity, structure with flexibility, and challenge with compassion. My work is firmly rooted in strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care, meaning I see clients not as problems to be fixed, but as whole people shaped by resilience, relationships, identity, and systems.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready for change, even if they’re not fully sure what that looks like yet. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, but there’s a part of them that knows something isn’t working and wants more. They’re open to being honest with themselves, willing to do the work between sessions, and curious about understanding the deeper patterns behind their thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. They don’t expect a quick fix, but they do want meaningful, lasting progress. They value a collaborative relationship, one where they feel supported, challenged, and respected. They’re looking for a space where they can show up as they are, while also being guided toward growth, clarity, and a stronger sense of self.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

With over 30 years experience, I use strengths-based, individualized therapy as the foundation of my private practice, grounding each therapeutic relationship in deep respect for clients’ lived experiences, resilience, and capacity for growth. Rather than defining clients by symptoms or diagnoses, I partner with them to identify existing strengths, adaptive skills, cultural values, and past successes that can be leveraged to address current challenges. Treatment is highly individualized, collaboratively shaped by each client’s goals, identity, and context, ensuring that therapy feels relevant, empowering, and responsive rather than prescriptive.
