About me

I believe one's mental health is the foundation for overall health and longevity. Feeling scene, heard and supported are the cornerstones of positive mental health. Having a safe sounding board can be life changing and my goal with clients is to make sure that they know they don't have to hold life's "heavy stuff" alone. Learning how to re-connect to self as well as improve communication with others is a focus when working together. I have been working as a therapist for over 10 years in many different capacities. I specialize in recovery support from eating disorders and other addictions and am passionate about supporting clients with struggles around neurodivergence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I practice unconditional positive regard with my clients and provide a warm grounded energy to the sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I really enjoy working with anyone who is navigating life transitions and are looking for guidance and support on that journey. Working with clients who are currently diagnosed or in recovery from an eating disorder also brings me so much joy as my passion to facilitate growth and understanding is immense. I have done a lot of work with adolescents going off to college as well and really enjoy this population.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I used DBT for close to 4 years while working in residential and outpatient treatment centers with clients with diagnosis of PTSD, GAD, depression and eating disorders. I now in my private practice teach mindfulness skills and other distress tolerance skills on a consistent basis to increase overall life satisfaction.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I started using ACT about 4 years ago and continue to use it in my private practice to teach clients about psychological flexibility and radical acceptance when it comes to their emotional landscape.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have worked extensively with clients who have experienced many types of trauma and understand the needed patience and understanding that comes with working with these clients.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I have extensive training and experience working with adolescents and adults who have been diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder and using exposure and response prevention therapy which is the gold standard of care to treat OCD.
