Welcome! My name is Christian; I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent over the last 9 years assisting individuals negotiate through some of life's hardest challenges - anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders, grief, life transitions, and other life circumstances - through approaches of compassion, sensible support, and insight. I have worked across multiple settings, including outpatient treatment, community programs, residential treatment, employee assistance programs, and other acute settings. I believe there is no universal method for therapy because each of us has a unique journey in life. Therapy works best when the conversation feels authentic, along with following a clinical approach that is clearly defined and best fits YOU. Outside of work, I enjoy music, hiking, kayaking, and board games.
Your first session will predominately be about identifying the problematic situation(s) and developing a working relationship. During this time, I will guide you through the intake process as I learn more about what's bringing you in, your background, and the current challenges you may be facing in life. We will collectively work on establishing your goals and what you hope to accomplish during our sessions. This will allow us to have a solid foundation for your journey.
I offer more than just guidance to sessions. I extend a genuine presence, authenticity, and empathy to ensure that a safe space is created where you can feel truly heard, seen, and accepted. Becoming attuned with ourselves is tremendously important to the therapeutic process, so I will often integrate approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy so you can better understand your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. I also apply the acceptance and commitment therapy approach for building more flexibility with thoughts and feelings and feeling less obligated to resisting them. Clients have also frequently shared they not only appreciate these integrated approaches, but also our celebrations of progress and sharing laughter. This enables clients to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.
If you are inclined to finding balance in order to navigate life challenges and trials, return to your ambition, and learn more about yourself, I would be delighted to assist you in getting to that point. I intend to be present with you along with providing support as you traverse through your journey of growth, healing, and reconnecting with yourself.

Through a cognitive behavioral therapy approach, we will work on you becoming attuned with your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to develop successful strategies that will enable positive outcomes.
I implement an eclectic approach, I don't believe the same therapeutic approach will have the same outcome for each individual. It can be helpful to integrate various techniques from different therapy models to address your distinctive needs in therapy. Together, we will identify strategies that allow you to make the change(s) you desire.
I utilize an acceptance and commitment therapy approach to help you break through resisting unwanted thoughts and emotions. Through collaboration, you will be able to develop flexibility with your thoughts and emotions. We can also identify and explore your personal values to develop a more satisfactory life.
