Aloha, my name is Aiyana Kanakaole and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I was born and raised on the island of Maui and gained my experience serving the community of Oahu through medical social work. I now provide telehealth services and enjoy being able to work with adults across Hawaii.

A first session with me will be focused on what is important to you, what kind of support you are looking for, and your goals for therapy. We will also review what you can expect future sessions to look like. This is a chance for us both to determine if this will be a good fit.

I believe you, as the client, are the expert in your life. My approach to therapy is allowing clients to guide the sessions, while I meet you with curiosity and understanding.
Motivational Interviewing
I enjoy using motivational interviewing when a client expresses wanting to make a change in their life though feels unsure of how to move forward.
