I am currently living in Missouri with my husband, 2 dogs, and our cat. I am a military spouse and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I completed my undergraduate degree in social work at the University of Alaska, and my Masters of Social Work degree, at the University of Maine. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist.
During our first appointment we will talk about the specifics of what is bringing you into therapy, and go over history information to include family history, and answer any questions that you may have for me. We will talk about your goals for therapy and talk about a plan to help us work towards your goals.
I want to help you navigate through difficult moments and support you in finding ways to grow, shift thoughts and behaviors that are no longer helpful and are interfering with your life. By working together on getting to the root of an issue we can figure out what is working, and what’s not working. We can talk about how to start taking steps to move towards how you want to be living your life. I believe that an important part of therapy is having a good therapeutic relationship, someone who can support you in making change.
