About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in NH, VT and MA. I have been working in the field of mental health for over 30 years. I got my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England and began my career working with children and families in southern Vt for the first 10 years. I then worked as a crisis counselor for 20 years in the Berkshires of Massachusetts serving all ages both in hospital settings, community settings and client's homes. More recently, I have been working in college counseling .

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My goal in our first session is to establish rapport and begin to gain an understanding of what you are hoping for and struggling with and how I may be able to help you. My aim is to create a supportive, trusting relationship with you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, insight, experience and respect. I've had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life- supporting them through a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions and personal growth. For nearly two decades, I have served as a therapist at a college in Vermont, working closely with young adults during pivotal times in their development. In addition, I provided care in both a community mental health clinic and a hospital emergency room, where I supported individuals and families in acute crisis. These diverse settings have deepened my understanding of the many ways people experience and heal from emotional pain.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have thoroughly enjoyed my work with young adults. These years can be difficult but also exciting and full of change and growth. I feel able and willing to help clients who are going through a transition be it from college to adulthood and being on their own, changing careers or going through another transition in life.
