I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist in Florida, Texas, and Utah with over 17+ years of professional work experience. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma professional (CCTP) with experience in helping clients with PTSD, C-PTSD, coping with addictions, LGBTQ+ related issues, relationship issues, and family conflicts.

I show up in my therapeutic sessions not just as a clinician, but as a real person - someone who values honesty, warmth, and the courage it takes to face life's challenges.

I specialize in helping individuals navigate life's challenges, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful change. I believe that healing begins with genuine human connection. I show up in my therapeutic sessions not just as a clinician, but as a real person - someone who values honesty, warmth, and the courage it takes to face life's challenges. My work is grounded in authenticity because I know that people heal best when they are truly seen , heard, and accepted without judgment.

First session

In our first session together, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where your story is honored and your voice truly heard. We'll take time to explore what brings you to therapy and what goals you hope to achieve, while I work to understand your unique background, challenges, and strengths. My approach is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative - focused on creating a safe environment where you feel supported and empowered. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, life transitions, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, I'm here to walk beside you with empathy, clarity, and practical tools for growth. Let's start this journey together, one step at a time.

Strengths

My therapeutic approach is grounded in creating a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen and understood. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and person-centered techniques to tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs and goals. I believe meaningful change happens through both insight and practical skill-building, so I focus on helping clients develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and build resilience in everyday life. Clients often describe my style as compassionate, direct, and empowering, with an emphasis on fostering lasting growth rather than temporary solutions.

Ideal clients

As a clinical therapist experienced in a wide range of therapeutic modalities and specializing in anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and trauma, I am best positioned to serve individuals who are navigating emotional overwhelm, persistent negative thought patterns, or the lingering effects of past traumatic experiences. This includes adults and adolescents who may be feeling stuck, disconnected, or unable to manage daily stressors in healthy ways. I work well with individuals who are ready to explore their inner world, building coping strategies, and make meaningful changes, whether they are dealing with generalized anxiety, major depressive episodes, PTSD, complex trauma, or life transitions. My integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy to each person's unique needs, strengths, and goals, creating a collaborative space for healing and growth.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the modality of therapy I use most as a licensed clinician. I find this collaborative approach which focuses on the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to be extremely helpful with changing negative thought patterns and maladaptive behaviors. Understanding that while we cannot control for all variables outside of ourselves, we can better manage our problems by creating a new narrative. In my practice I find that changed behaviors tend to follow this new narrative as we move in the direction of our strongest thoughts.

Motivational Interviewing

This modality of therapy is an evidence-based approach to talking with clients about change. It is designed to cultivate and strengthen the client's own commitment and motivation to effect that change. Establishing a supportive relationship between myself and my client elicits the development of a positive attitude towards the desired change. This is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that is mindful of how difficult it is to make positive life changes.

Narrative

Narrative Therapy is a widely recognized and evidence-based approach in mental health that aims to help people reframe their personal narratives and gain a deeper understanding of themselves. In my practice, narrative therapy techniques may include: Externalizing conversations by helping people separate themselves from their problems. Deconstructing conversations by breaking down problematic narratives into smaller, more manageable parts. In my practice I assist the client in challenging the existing/dominant narrative and re-authoring the client's story in a more positive and empowering way.

Christian Counseling

In my practice I incorporate faith-based principles not solely but as a component of the therapeutic session. This form of Christian Counseling focuses on incorporating a person's spiritual beliefs in order to help the individual find meaning in their lives, as well as relief from negative symptomology.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In my practice, Mindful-based cognitive therapy is an approach to therapy that uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in conjunction with meditative practices. Learning to be more aware of thoughts, feelings, emotions, surroundings and situations, to reduce emotional dysregulation and automatic negative reactions.

I chose her because of the spirituality. I’m sure we will touch on that in the following sessions, but I wanted some clear cut advice.
