(she/her)
For many of us, life can be tremendously challenging; and when we feel we have reached a breaking point, seeking help can be one of the most altering and uplifting decisions in life. As a cancer survivor, and a person who has lived through and overcome adversity; I understand trauma, anxiety, and depression firsthand. I am passionate about clinically supporting others to thrive. Whether you're facing trauma, mental health issues, substance use, or life transitions as an older adult, I’m here for you. With over 20 years of clinical experience and a holistic approach, I’ll work with you to create a plan that empowers your mental and emotional healing.
In our first session, we’ll review office procedures like fees, confidentiality, and communication. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about what I share or about therapy in general. I’ll also do a thorough assessment, and together we’ll put together a treatment plan that includes your goals, objectives, and the steps we’ll take to reach them.
With more than twenty years of clinical experience, I take a person-centered, holistic approach, using a range of interventions designed to fit your needs. I’m warm, compassionate, and committed to helping you live your best life.
I have worked well with many different people with a variety of backgrounds and concerns. I work best with adults and older adults and individuals with a history of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and chronic pain. I am also able to provide treatment for individuals wishing to improve communication skills, increase self-esteem, improve decision making and problem-solving skills, and those with anger management issues.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT operates on the idea that trying to control or avoid painful emotions is counterproductive. Instead it promotes "psychological flexibility"--the ability to stay grounded in the present moment and behave in accordance with personal values, even when experiencing difficult feelings.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Based on the idea that our thoughts shape our feelings and behaviors, CBT interventions aim to teach people how to shift their thinking, which in turn changes their emotions and actions.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and aware of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings without judgment. It’s used to help people focus on the present moment, noticing their thoughts and sensations without getting caught up in them or feeling overwhelmed.
Psychoeducation
Psychoeducation is used to provide knowledge, information, resources and coping strategies related to a specific mental health issue or condition. It empowers people with knowledge and skills to help improve treatment, build support and increase individual and community awareness.
