As a therapist, I understand that seeking help can be a difficult and courageous decision; but it is also the first step towards change and growth. With a compassionate and collaborative approach, I am committed to helping my clients navigate through their challenges and reach their full potential. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression ,or any other mental health issue, I am here to provide a safe and supportive space for you to heal and thrive.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I believe that each individual is the expert of their own experiences and journey. In our first session, I will listen deeply as you share your story and together we will identify the areas you would like to work on. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work towards achieving your desired outcomes.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My passion as a therapist lies in helping individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed ,and anxious to find a sense of clarity and peace in their lives. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and transformation, and I am committed to supporting my clients on their journey towards healing and self-discovery.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to serve motivated individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and move toward a more authentic version of themselves. My ideal client is someone who isn't just looking for a place to vent, but a space to actively build life-long skills and gain deeper self-awareness. I tend to be a direct therapist. I believe that true healing happens when we can process emotions while also having the courage to 'look in the mirror.' I work best with clients—such as young professionals, those navigating life transitions, or individuals struggling with anxiety—who appreciate a therapist who will both support them and gently challenge them to take accountability for their growth.

Compassion Focused
I use CFT to help clients transform their "inner critic" into an "inner supporter." This is especially effective for those struggling with deep-seated shame or self-criticism. We work on developing the skills of self-compassion to regulate emotions and create a sense of internal safety. I have experience applying CFT techniques to help clients manage anxiety and depression by understanding the evolutionary roots of their "threat system" and cultivating a more nurturing internal dialogue.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My approach to CBT is collaborative and goal-oriented. I help clients identify the interconnectedness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By uncovering "automatic thoughts" and cognitive distortions, we work together to develop practical coping strategies and reframe perspectives to improve daily functioning. I have utilized CBT across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood regulation, and phobias, focusing on evidence-based interventions that empower clients with a "toolkit" for long-term success.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I focus on helping clients develop psychological flexibility. Instead of fighting against difficult thoughts or feelings, we practice cognitive defusion and acceptance to change your relationship with them. By identifying your core values, we work together to take committed action toward a meaningful life, even when discomfort is present.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I integrate mindfulness to help clients stay grounded in the present moment rather than being pulled away by past regrets or future anxieties. My approach is about "noticing without judgment," allowing clients to observe their experiences with curiosity, which reduces the power of overwhelming stressors. I regularly incorporate mindfulness exercises, such as guided grounding and breathwork, into sessions to help clients manage chronic stress, improve focus, and enhance their overall mind-body connection.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients process traumatic or distressing memories that feel "stuck." My approach follows the standard protocol, using bilateral stimulation to help the brain’s natural healing process resume, ultimately reducing the emotional charge of past events.

I appreciate Sheri's communication style. She gives me time to express how I am feeling and is able to help me process those emotions. She relates to me on a personal level. I like how we have set goals and she gives me topics to look into. I am only a few weeks in and my mindset is already in a better place.
