In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Therapy is a very personal journey, and what works well for one person may not be the best approach for another. My philosophy is that effective therapy goes beyond simply listening. The initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to understand how I approach therapy. During our first meeting, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and what you hope to achieve. This will help us begin to develop a personalized plan that is tailored to your unique needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths lie in fostering an environment where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and feelings, and in providing guidance that encourages growth and positive change. My philosophy is that effective therapy goes beyond simply listening; it is a very personal journey, and what works well for one person may not be the best approach for another.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with adolescents (16+) through older adults, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, and life transitions, including health-related and geriatric concerns. I am best suited for clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or seeking practical strategies to improve emotional regulation, coping, and daily functioning. My approach includes CBT, DBT, and SFT; identity and self-esteem work (including racial, cultural, and occupational identity), and faith-based (Christian) counseling when desired. I also provide DOT SAP services.
