New to Grow
I am a Generation X woman who has been married happily married for 30 years, with 2 adults children. My clients enjoy my energy and my style of communication. My smile is infectious and I'm extremely passionate about seeing people meet and exceed their goals and feel great about it. I love to celebrate wins, which you will have lots of them. Peaks and Valleys are a natural part of the process, so hold on tight and know that you will be better than when we started.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
We will review your assessments, discuss your short-term and long-term therapy goals and we will identify your strengths, challenges and needs. We will set up ground rules and define words for a quality engagement to begin and continue throughout all of the sessions. I will answer questions about my experience, along with challenges and successes that I have encountered throughout the years.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am extremely communicative and will never give up on you. I will encourage you to learn new ways of thinking through your ladder of inference, which is how you think about things and why you react to things. The people that are the most successful with me as their therapist is those who develop consistent communication and a trusting therapeutic rapport and are not afraid to confront their past in order to learn new patterns of thinking and acting.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with Boomers, Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z singles, couples and families (no larger than 6 people). I have worked with straight and gay singles and couples. You will be actively engaged in the plan that you develop for yourself and will complete your daily tasks in between sessions.
Strength-Based
Using a solution-focused, person-centered, trauma-informed practice with young adults, singles, couples and families, it is essential to understand that every person has strengths, while i'm helping them work through their past traumas, grief from loss or separation, poor communication and co-dependent relationships. Every one of us has strengths in areas that can be used to build on and strengthen other areas of our lives. You will look forward to interactive sessions that continues with weekly homework and occasional field trips in the community.
