I have experience working with people from many different ages and backgrounds, however I specialize in working with youth and young adults. Topics commonly addressed in my work with clients include: understanding/managing emotions, excessive thoughts or worries, time management/ goal setting, life transitions, anger management, substance misuse, self-esteem, work/ school performance, and communication skills/managing relationships. Outside of my practice I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, hockey, biking, hiking with my dog, and time with friends & family.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

A first session typically involves discussion of what brings you to therapy, background information, potential goals or objectives for treatment, and beginning to get to know one another and build rapport

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I offer a holistic view and approach, and a calm nonjudgmental space to explore emotions, life experiences, and behaviors to increase awareness and work towards personal growth

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals to address their unique needs. You are the expert in you, and my goal is to guide to where you would like to be, personal growth to be your best self. There is no one fit to doing therapy and anyone can find a benefit to giving it a shot. My approach with clients is collaborative.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is helpful for a variety of mental health conditions by working towards acknowledging and observing negative thoughts and emotions. Mindfulness strategies aid ACT with coping strategies and focusing on the present, while taking action/ steps that align with your personal values and what's important to you.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When we have awareness of how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, we can take steps towards changing unhelpful thinking patterns to confront or cope with our emotions and change unwanted behaviors or consequences.
