About me

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who takes a warm, practical, and collaborative approach to therapy. I enjoy thinking concretely with clients, identifying clear goals, and turning insight into meaningful action. I incorporate evidence-based CBT and DBT strategies and often provide practical homework between sessions so clients can continue building skills, gaining confidence, and making progress outside the therapy room.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for me to understand you—not simply your symptoms. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been difficult recently, what you would like to change, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions about your experiences, relationships, current stressors, strengths, and previous attempts to address the problem. I believe therapy should involve more than simply listening. While having a supportive and nonjudgmental space is important, I also want to help you identify patterns, develop practical coping skills, challenge unhelpful ways of thinking, and create realistic goals for change. Together, we’ll begin developing a treatment approach that fits your individual needs and gives you concrete areas to work on between sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a warm, active, and practical approach to therapy. I strive to create an environment where clients feel genuinely heard while also receiving meaningful feedback, guidance, and tools they can use outside the therapy room. I incorporate CBT and DBT techniques to help clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, regulate difficult feelings, improve relationships, establish healthier boundaries, and develop more effective coping strategies. One of my greatest strengths is meeting clients where they are while still helping them move forward. Therapy is collaborative: we identify what is getting in the way, build on existing strengths, and turn insight into concrete behavioral change. My goal is for clients to leave sessions not only feeling understood, but also with a clearer sense of what they can do next.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are motivated to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives, even if they are unsure where to begin. My ideal clients may be struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, relationship difficulties, stress, emotional regulation, or major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with clients who appreciate a practical, goal-oriented approach that includes concrete strategies, honest reflection, and homework between sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge them, and develop more balanced ways of responding. I like to keep CBT practical and concrete by setting clear goals, practicing skills in session, and often assigning homework so clients can apply what they are learning in everyday life.

Gottman method

I use Gottman Method principles in couples work to help partners improve communication, reduce destructive conflict patterns, rebuild emotional connection, and better understand each other’s needs. I focus on practical skills such as expressing appreciation, managing conflict more effectively, increasing friendship and affection, and replacing criticism, defensiveness, contempt, or withdrawal with healthier ways of communicating.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness to help clients slow down, become more aware of their thoughts and emotions, and respond more intentionally rather than reacting automatically. In sessions, we may practice grounding, breathing, observing thoughts without judgment, and noticing physical sensations connected to stress or anxiety. I often give simple mindfulness exercises as homework so clients can build these skills into everyday life.
